Dear Brenda,
I saw you a few years ago on PBS… you sounded great and you look so healthy, a product of your knowledge in this subject matter. I want to have vibrant health. My family doesn't think it exists and that I just should not think about my health. But my body constantly reminds me that I do not seem to have very much energy or good health and I know it once existed since I was healthy as a teenager and a child. Sometimes my husband and father-in-law think it is all in my head. My Mother-in-law is a nurse in traditional medicine for years and they do not agree with anything alternative, nor do they think they need to change the way they eat or that it affects their health very much. I am living with them right now – as my husband is out of work. It is very hard to eat what I think I should eat to feel better when they purchase all the food. I feel bad asking for them to purchase much of anything especially since organic produce is so expensive. I want to have vibrant health, but I have a limited budget. I looked for a naturopathic physician and it is not covered by my insurance. I feel pressure to not spend very much money on this health issue and just to ignore it but I can't ignore it for fear that it will get worse and then I will be dealing with allergies, or asthma too. I wish it would go away but so far the hypoglycemia, constipation, bloating, acid reflux, menstrual cramps, eczema, mild depression and fatigue has stayed, also some chest pressure after eating. Poor assimilation and circulation as well. We do have a garden so in the summer I can get some organic vegetables for free.
Can hypoglycemia and healthy weight control be attained by taking candigone? I am underweight would this help me gain weight? Would I be able to process food better by getting rid of the candida if I have it? Is hypoglycemia a symptom of candida?
I also was diagnosed 6 years ago with Mononucleosis – can this turn into chronic fatigue? Is this related to candida?
My husband wants us to have children but my body can't seem to support it's own energy. So I need to find a solution otherwise we will be childless.
It sounds like from other people's posts I need to do a gluten, lactose (family history of milk allergies) and food sensitivity test from enterolabs.com. I have thought a lot about taking the candigone, enzymes, and taking alkalinizing minerals and doing urine and saliva testing for pH and then monitoring that while taking the alkalinizing minerals. I seem to need to eat a lot of high fat foods when I have low blood sugar. I eat cheese or peanut butter to help the lightheadedness go away but it is a temporary fix. I have poor assimilation to hot weather, I used to be able to tolerate hot days better. I get irritable too and angry and have had alot of anxiety a few years ago - sign of depression. Do you think that depression can be a sign of an overloaded liver or gallbladder problems?
Main question is that: I do not know what to try first. I just don't want my health to get worse or to have a bad reaction if I unknowingly take supplements which should not be taken together. What works together and what would be a first place to go on a limited budget. I should do the testing before I try the supplements right? Do I need to see a physician or GI doctor or naturopath? Thank you for all of your knowledge and help! Sorry this is so long I wanted to give a health history so you would know my background. Also, are there any good doctors you would recommend in the San Francisco bay area?
