Oh my, Trisha, I'm so sorry for your issues. It sounds as though your are really doing a good job. One suggestion might be to eliminate grains completely and see if that makes any difference. If you have a gluten/wheat sensitivity (or dairy), that would add to your issues.

Also, you mentioned probiotics. However you didn't mention what type. Not all probiotics are as valuable as you might think. This might help http://www.renewlife.com/which…..ht-for-you

I'm sure you've explored Candida. Candida incrases the pH in the colon and that in itself can cause (and add to) constipation. Have you had a Comprehensive Stool Analysis? (described toward the top of this Forum under "read first". If you'd like, you can email my assistant at jsinclaire@renewlife.com for the chapter on Candidiasis from my new book.

I know you're looking for something "new" – I totally understand. However, I hope these suggestions are helpful for you.

I have struggled with a tortuous colon for years and now that I am older it has become worse( 58 years old). I had a colon transient test and have had several colonoscopies and all have confirmed this is the way I am structurally and now am told I have pelvic floor disorder as well.  The ONLY thing that has saved me is I have found a good doctor who performs colonics. I eat very healthy… mostly organic, drink plenty of water, exercise, take quality probiotics and enzymes with every meal and have received message therapy. STILL I have much difficulty going to the bathroom and have to resort to laxatives. My gastroenterologist wants to put me on prescriptive drugs and I just don't want to do that unless it is the last resort. I can only eat small meals a day and as a result am very thin. Any NEW information on this would be so appreciated. Thank You. Trisha
