Dear Cherree,

It sounds like you’ve had a huge amount of toxic exposure at work for a very long time, from working around copy materials to pesticides and fertilizers in lawn care. No wonder you developed Chronic Fatigue and GA.

Is Dr. Turner an Integrative Practitioner? An Integrative Practitioner is a doctor who would be willing to see your situation as a whole and really investigate your history and its potentially toxic effects. They would most likely run the type of testing I would choose, like a Comprehensive Stool Analysis, and testing for food sensitivities (for more info, check out the post toward the top of this Forum). They might suggest testing for your level of pesticides and organic chemical toxicity. You also didn’t mention if you had done any type of hormonal testing regularly since your hysterectomy. Not just female hormones, but also thyroid, adrenal, pituitary – and to check on nutrient absorption and liver function.

Here are 2 websites that might help you locate someone near you. http://www.acam.org and http://www.functionalmedicine.org. Actually, EnteroLab is right there in Dallas. They do excellent lab testing and have a national list of more diagnostically advanced practitioners. You can give Phyllis a call, and she could definitely help you locate someone closeby. 972-686-6869

The skin is the largest elimination channel in the body, and it seems yours is in overdrive. Besides different types of cleansing that may be indicated by symptoms and/or tests, it’s always a good idea to start with the basics, which to me are a foundation of H.O.P.E. – high fiber, omega oils, probiotics and enzymes to help get your digestive system on track.

Maintaining a high quality diet is 80% of most any game. Check out the Fiber 35 diet as a basis. http://www.fiber35diet.com/ – You can sign up for free, and there’s a lot of good information at http://www.brendawatson.com/diet/. It all depends on how deep you decide to go to get to the cause of your skin issue. You may identify food sensitivities and actually choose a more defined diet like the one found here http://www.brendawatson.com/diet/

I hope you get great results with the light therapy, and keep in touch!

Hi Brenda,  I'm (Cherree (Cherry) Shults age 66  female, live in Dallas, Tx.  My GA started in 1988 on my feet, knees, elbows, knuckles on my hands, only hurt if I put presser on them like getting down on my knees, leaning on the elbows, hitting my knuckles.  I had a full time job with Xerox= Copier Tech.  started there in 1976, 8 to 5 daily.  In 1986 I stared a Lawn Service in the afternoon after 5mp. I need the money and I could get in 3 or 4 yards every even, that lasted till 1997.  When the GA started I also got Chronic Fatique but I pushed and pushed until 1997, but kept my job with Xerox, and still had to push myself.

In 1979 I had a Hyst. left one ov.  didn't have any problems with that.

I've tryed every Dr. Spec. with NO help.

Now in year 2010 it's has spread to my upper legs, my butt and back, and have 2 on my face, I'm seeing Dr.Ellen Turner MD-Derm. here in Dallas Tx. She's talking about some kind of Light Therapy, which I should start next week, I hope.  Nothing else has worked.

I  was just watching you on Kera channel, Dallas, Ft. Worth Tx. and though it can't hurt to ask you.

Thank You,

Cherree Shults

I do not know your age, but it is interesting it goes away during pregnancy and nursing. This is also when you have shifts in hormones. I would suggest you do a hormone test (blood or saliva) and see where your hormone levels are for your age.  I would also suggest some digestive yeast testing and parasite test. I would not accept there is nothing you can do for it. If you call our 800 number and talk with consumer affairs they may be able to direct you to a natural health care practictioner in your area. There are some self test questonaires for candida you can also take. I hope you get to the bottom of it.

Hi,

According to my dermatologist and the independent research that I've done, I have granuloma annalare, which is a non-contagious(thankfully) skin condition…looks a little like ringworm, but does not itch or hurt…just unsightly.  It has come & gone for about 13 years now…(gone during pregnancy & nursing) and returns after.   I have been told that the cause is unknown and that there's not much to do about it.  Can use steroidal creams, which I try my best to avoid…I have been trying different natural remedies (such as turmeric, salt, aloe Vera, green tea, mint, gosh I know I've tried much more than those), but it doesn't stay away.  I even tried a blood detoxification supplement from a natural-type practice pharmacy.  It's been mainly on the top of one foot but is now starting to show up on other parts of my body…arm, leg, hand. Confused  My bowel movement is really good every day.    Do your products help with the condition of granuloma annalare?

Please help!

Thanks & blessings!Smile
