Hi Abi,

Please review the ingredients in Super Critical Omega and see what you think. http://www.renewlife.com/omega…..tical.html - look under the tab "Product Information". Of course, it's always personal choice, however DHA is only one component of an excellent oil. In fact, the EPA/DHA ratio is really what you're looking at.

Fiber is NOT a stool softener. In fact, stool softeners should not be used on a regular basis. Fiber is a critical part of food, and it tends to be one of the most overlooked components of health. Our processed foods these days generally have the fiber taken out of them, leaving us to be a country of constipated people.

Here's some info on the value of fiber – http://www.renewlife.com/learn…..fiber-faqs. Fiber is so important, I wrote a book, did a PBS special, and created an entire eating plan around it – the Fiber 35 Diet! Check out my Fiber 35 website – joining is absolutely free – http://www.fiber35diet.com/

Soluble fiber provides "fertilizer" for your probiotics (good guys) and insoluble fiber exercises the intestine and sweeps it clean. If you are constipated, you will increase your fiber very slowly at first, making sure your bowel continues to move.

We've added a new product to our line that provides some fiber, probiotics and Magnesium all together. http://www.renewlife.com/ultim…..llion.html Perhaps a product like this might be a good way to begin.

I hope that helps!

Brenda

Dear Abi,

I pray your recovery from your surgery is a total success. And it's a good thing that you realize that you need to support your gut after those rounds and rounds of antibiotics.

Probiotics, fiber, digestive enzymes and omega (fish) oils are all products that are considered safe during pregnancy since they're basically foods. These products really support the immune system and help the body to function more effectively. If you'd like products from Renew Life, I'd suggest Ultimate Flora 50 Billion, Triple Fiber, Digestmore and Norwegian Gold Critical Omega. You don’t want to take any products that include any types of herbs at this time. You can find these products in health food stores, or even in Walgreens, these days, as well as at http://www.RenewLife.com .

These supplements will also help you to avoid constipation, which is very important, especially now! It’s also time to follow as clean a diet as possible, avoiding sugar, wheat/gluten and dairy if possible, both to support your immune system and also to grow a healthy baby!

Renew Life FloraBaby is a powdered probiotic for both Infants and Toddlers and FloraBear was developed for children 2 years and up.

Keep in touch!

Hi Brenda,
I'm worried about my immune system. I'm 28 weeks Pregnant I'm 12 weeks in recovering from thyroid cancer surgery. Prior to surgery I had a bad case of Bronchitis and had to take antibiotics(Amoxicillin 500m and Steroids Prednisone and now after surgery I had another case of bronchitis had to take antibiotics with steroids again and a week later my symptoms has not improved I had to take another course of antibiotics and steroids. What to do? what kind of probiotics should I take? and what kind of probiotics probiotics to do you recommend for toddler to build their immune system?

Thank you for any insights

Abi
