Dear heb555,

Also, if when taking any product, whether a probiotic or herb especially, if feelings of throat tightness or tongue swelling occurs you must stop the product immediatly as this may be a sign of an allergic reaction.  Allergic reactions are specific to the individual and you may not know of it until you eat something or take something that you have a reaction to.  This is a safety precaution and must be mentioned.

Dear heb555,

Glad you're here. Yes, you did a great job posting.

Since everyone's digestive tract is different and unique and people respond in so many ways, it might be your daughter's reaction to the Vaginal Support product.

You didn't mention how old she is. That's important. Also, how much does she weigh? Younger and more frail individuals with multiple sensitivities are best advised (with any product) to start slowly. In her case, you might open the capsule and give her a half serving with a small amount of food and see what she reports, or even less.

Diet is so extremely important. I'm hoping she is avoiding sugar, gluten/wheat, dairy and processed foods in order to minimize those allergic/immune issues. I've seen those diet changes alone trigger die-off in a person overcome with toxins. After all, sugar/simple carbs are yeast's favorite food!

At the very least she's experiencing a Leaky Gut. If you'd like to contact my assistant at jsinclaire@renewlife.com, she will send you the chapter on Leaky Gut from my new book, which will suggest some directions that may be helpful.

There's so much to say, too much for an email Forum! I hope you have an Integrative Practitioner to help her through these issues. That's a doctor who views the body more as a whole. Here are 2 websites that might help you locate someone near you. http://www.acam.org and http://www.functionalmedicine.org.

I hope this has been helpful!

Hi,

Just found this site. Hope I am posting correctly.

Daughter has Lyme and food allergies. She has problems with yeast and yeast allergies too. I just purchased the Ultra Flora vaginal probiotic by Renew Life. Last night she took one and experienced throat tightness and said it felt like her tongue was swollen, but it was not . Could this be a die off reaction?

Thank you
