Dear Streamguy,

Your thoughts regarding establishing health prior to surgery are mine too!

I don't have a practice anymore and don't do personal consultations, so I use this Forum to answer more general health questions. If you have a question that can be answered here, I'm happy to help, like clarifying the suggestions in the chapter you received. Otherwise, it's probably the type of personal health question you need to address to your Doctor or a practicing Integrative Practitioner.

If you don't know of an Integrative Practitioner, here are 2 websites that might help you locate someone near you. http://www.acam.org and http://www.functionalmedicine.org. Or, you can call Phyllis at EnteroLab (they do excellent laboratory testing) and they have a national directory of Professionals who have advanced training in gut issues. 972-686-6869

If you have specific questions about Renew Life products and would rather talk with a real person, I have an amazing Customer Service Department that you can reach at 800-830-1800.

I hope this was helpful.

Brenda

Thank you Brenda, I just sent the email. I also appreciate how fast you responded. Waiting is horrible in these situations. I have read a lot on how difficult it is to remain regular after colon or rectal surgery due to cancer. It just seems that I should get my "gut" in the best working order I can so when damage is cuased via the surgery then I might not be as bad off. At minimum I will have a healthy body before the surgery :)

Dear Streamguy,

Thanks for watching my special and moving into action with those essential steps of probiotics, fiber and oils. Your body thanks you too!

Regarding your post, contact my assistant at jsinclaire@renewlife.com and she'll send you the chapter on Cancer from my new book. It contains multiple recommendations that are really excellent to follow whether or not you receive an actual diagnosis of cancer.

Once you read that chapter, please be back in touch with any specific questions, and we can streamline your plan.

I'm happy to help!

Hello Brenda,

I recently started your pro-biotic, fish oil and fiber supplements from a PBS show I watched on your methods. This has helped me substantially with my bowl movements. However, I may have rectal cancer (waiting on results) and want to get my "gut" as healthy as possible. I am making the assumption a health digestive track will only help me after any surgery. With that said I would like to start immediately with your suggested actions to get to my healthy "gut". Can you tell me where to start first? If I only had a couple of months, what book, supplements, diet, etc. should I do right now?

Thank you.
