OfflineDear James,
Here are two doctors in your area who may be able to help. Perhaps you can call them both to see who feels best to you.
| Joel | Klein | Colorado Springs | 80903 | (719) 457-0330 | MD | ADHD/ADD, Anti-Aging, Auto-immune Diseases, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Family Practice, Fibromyalgia, Functional Medicine, Glutathione, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Orthomolecular Medicine, Oncology, Psychiatry (Orthomolecular), Thyroid Disease, Weight Reduction, Women's Health, Yeast Syndrome, Holistic Medicine | http://www.kleinholisticcenter.com | ||
| George | Juetersonke | Colorado Springs | 80917 | (719) 597-6075 | DO | Allergy, Chelation Therapy, Endocrinology, Fibromyalgia, Gynecology, IV Therapies, Metabolic Medicine, Nutrition, Preventive Medicine, Sexual Health, Thyroid Disease, Holistic Medicine | http://www.Juetersonke.com |
Both doctors seem to deal with digestive issues, however I noticed on his website that Dr. Klein realizes the impact that gluten has on people's health.
We have a Heartburn Recovery Plan that I'd be happy to send you. Please email my assistant at jsinclaire@renewlife.com for that info.
Both supplements you've started are good choices based on the info you've given here.
Keep in touch and let me know how your health improves. Also, I'd like to know if you like one of these doctors, or find another you like. We are always looking for good doctors to help people like you.

OfflineThank you Brenda,
My Zip Code is 80923. In Colorado Springs CO. I would appreciate any suggestions you have for a doctor.
I started cutting down my Prilosec by half six days ago. I plan on cutting that in half next week and finally stopping that medicine. I have been taking your Heartburn Relief medicine to help with heartburn and I started the Digest More also. I will Change over to Ultimate Flora Critical Care 50 Billion immediately. Thank you so much.
James
Dear James,
It sounds like you have some serious issues going on and yes they may all be related to an underlying situation such as digestive dysfunction. I would highly suggest in your situation that you locate specifically an Integrative Medical Doctor that can start taking a serious look at not only the medications you are on, but start doing some nutritional diagnostics to see about underlying issues. You need an Integrative doc so that he can look at both the medical aspects and the nutritional/alternative approaches at the same time. I would suggest you look at http://www.acam.org to find an Integrative doc in your area. This is a bit too complex for me to just suggest something over an email and you are so many medications that I am hesitant to do so. You need at the very least the Comprehensive Stool Analysis with Parasitology just to even start looking at what might be happening in your body. An Integrative doc would start with this and move forward looking at other aspects of your health such as toxicity, hormones etc….
As far as the probiotics you mention, it would not be my first suggestion. I know of the one you mention and I do not like some of the strains that are in it, as they are not used traditionally on humans. And FYI, the whole raw thing is a marketing scheme. All probiotics are "raw" since they are alive and have never been heated or cooked so to speak.
I would rather see you taking the Ultimate Flora Critical Care 50 Billion a couple of times a day. Please take my suggestion and find the Integrative doc you feel comfortable with as this is going to take some time and you need someone to actually see and work with.
If you can pass your zip code forward we can look as well and maybe make some suggestions on a doctor. I wish I could help you more but it's hard to do through an email.

Offlinestomach problems since birth but was able to manage until 2000. I had
sleep apnea surgery in 2000 and within 1 year I started having nausea so bad
that I was almost discharged from the military. I have been on several
medicines with no real results. I have had numerous scopes, CTs, emptying studies, etc…
and have been diagnosed with GERD, Sliding Hienia Hernia, excessive acid in
stomach and also gastroparesis. I have been on many medicines including reglan
(mobility drug?) which caused serious problems. I have had my gallbladder
removed to relieve the nausea with no success. I have even tried accuprncture. My current medicines are
Prilosec 20mg 1x day, (since 2000 and they want to switch me to Nexium),
If I stop the Prilosec I get super heart burn, Domperidone 10mg 3x day, Methylpriodnisolone 4mg 3x day, ondansehon of-pc 8 mg
2x per day. I also take Diovan HCT 160 mg 1x day for high blood
pressure. I take Lipitor for high cholesterol and triglycerides and I am
diabetic (controlled with diet so far). I wake nauseated and go to bed
nauseated (no vomiting) It is a
constantly nauseated feeling, I am unable to function or lead any type of normal
life. If I put any type of pressure on my stomach I get
super nauseated. Even if I lean forward when sitting and put the least
bit of pressure on my stomach I get even worse. Sometimes it will go away
for a day but will always come back the next day and last for months. I also have a lot of gas. It has made me unable
to work and when I am home all I do is sit around and feel sick. I heard
about you from a friend who saw your PBS show and he told me to try the
probiotics. He could not remember the brand so I got some at Whole Foods
which are Raw Probiotics men 50 and wiser? 85 billion live cultures and
32 Probiotic Strains. They have to be kept in fridge. I have
a bowel movement within 30 mins of waking and then another about an hour later.
I do drink coffee but only decaf. Please help. Any advice you could
provide I would greatly appreciate it. I weigh 240lbs. Please tell me
what to do to feel better again? Should I contine on the 85 Billion
Probiotics or change and should I add anything else. Please help.
