Dear KINGJ,

It all depends. I don't know what product you're using.

Renew Life has a high potency powdered product (200 billion cultures) that is mixed with juice, milk or a small meal. It is especially helpful for upper GI issues and weakened, post antibiotic systems, as it allows for direct contact – probiotics to digestive tract. Although some are certainly lost in the acid pH of the stomach, the food, etc. raises the pH somewhat and allows more probiotic to survive.

I hope that helped.

Do liquid probiotics have any efficacy?  As a liquid they don't have an enteric coating so can they survive the stomach acids?
