Thank you so much Brenda,

I will get on some HCL supplements and start the CandiGone and or ParaGone also.

One last question, I finished my probiotics and recently switch to the Ultimate Flora and since have had the runs and some additinal stomach issues. I noticed the label says wheat free but not gluten free. Any chance there is gluten in the product… since I'm intolerant I want to be extra careful.

Now that I'm thinking about it, is the CandiGone and the CandiZyme gluten free? I saw Malt Diastase on the CandiZyme label and thought I should ask.

Thanks for the hotline info., I'll call for the literature as well!

Jeanette

Dear Jeanette

After looking over all your info I think there are a couple of things that really stick out. If your symptom is still gas and bloating I think your issue along with parasites is yeast overgrowth. They go hand in hand with the parasites. Now the question then becomes how did you pick up parasites and I think to look deeper would be STOMACH ACID levels!!! Follow me on this: Parasites come into the mouth and if you have good HCl in the stomach it kills them.

I think the initial problem for you could have been the acid levels in your stomach were low. Now you are young to have had that happen but it does run genetically. So, when the acid levels were low then parasites entered the intestinal tract and over time created problems.

At the point you are in now here is a couple of things to consider start taking a HCl supplement with your meals. You eat protein which is good but if HCl is low it inhibits the digestion of protein. The other thing low HCL does is  throws the PH balance of the gut off and guess what Candida does it takes over! We all have yeast as part of our microbial balance in low amounts. The parasite drug you are taking is not going to kill Candida. You need to take a anti fungal like Candigone. ParaGone has anti fungal properties so you could start there and do 2 boxes and then switch to CandiGone for 2 boxes. Then you will have done it all. Candida also causes bloating like you are having. But like I mentioned the underlying start of the problem seems to be the acid levels in the stomach. In order to get the PH balance back you Must begin to add HCl into your meals. I take the Indigestion Stop or Parazyme or Heartburn Prevention. They all have HCl.

In doing either the CandiGone of ParaGone you must keep fruit at a minimum and eat berries, apples. Your diet is great!!! and almost to a yeast free diet. But will have to watch the agave while you take the CandiGone or ParaGone.

The key to getting rid of this is getting the probiotics to attach to the lining of the gut. When you are finished with the prescription medications go right to the anti fungal program keep on the l glutamine with probiotics.

You will get better!!!! Ask your doctor about the stomach acid issue because I think this was the culprit in the first place. You need to call our 800 830 4778 and ask for Sandee Kiser and tell her to send you for Free the ReNew Your Life Book. It explains this whole candida leakty gut  process and how it gets out of balance. It will help answer so many of the questions you have and also how to repair the gut.

Let me know how I can help

Brenda

Hi Brenda,

Okay, I'll wait on the ParaGONE.

I'm 5' 4.5, I weigh 136.  My typical weight has been between 122-126 for many years now, until recently.

A typical days food would be – all gluten, sugar, corn, dairy free

breakfast

1 chicken sausage or 2 eggs cooked in a little olive oil and some fruit such as 1/2 banana & 1/2 apple with a sprinkle of buckwheat, cinnamon and unsweetend coconut in unsweetened coconut milk.

lunch

1/2 small broiled chicken breast (no skin), a small bowl of vegies such as asparagus, broccoli or green beans with a little olive oil and herbs and a small piece of fruit like an apricot or sometimes a GF/fruit juice sweetend cookie

snack (if needed)

1-2 tbs. raw almond butter and 1/2 apple or raw almonds and a larabar or a few slices organic fresh roasted turkey and 1/2 apple.

dinner

1/2 roasted chicken breast or salmon, veggies like asparagus, green beans, etc. or small salad with lemon and olive oil, sometimes brown rice or quinoa.

dessert (if I have it is immedietaly follows dinner, as if it is part of the main course)

bowl of coconut milk/agave sweetened ice cream or just fruit – whatever is seasonal ie. watermelon or cherries. Sometimes raw buckwheat granola/agave sweetened. About 1-2 cups.

So, that's it. I eat pretty much the same things all the time, some variation but not tons. My meals are usually about 50/50 vegie to protein, if not more on the vegi side.

Any thoughts would be so appreciated.

Thanks again,

Jeanette

Dear Jeanette

Do not start the ParaGone until you take the test!! Very important!!!!!You need a couple of months to repair the gut once the parasites are gone.

How much do you weigh?? How tall are you?

Exercise can stress the immune system do be moderate. Send me an example of what you eat in a day

Hi Brenda,

Thanks for getting back to me. I don't know what type of stool test I had but there were 3 vials with different solutions for sample collection. I know they tested for parasites, gluten and an number of other things came back on my lab work. I was positive for gluten intolerance and have been off all gluten for nearly 4 months now and finished the 3rd round of antiparasitic medication. I'm still having bloating and discomfort and my PT thinks I probably have a hiatal hernia. It is hard to tell but it seems I should be feeling better by now.

I'll up my probiotics and l-glutamine as you suggested and then start the ParaGONE. I am suppose to be retested for parasites next week (which will take 3 weeks to get the results). Do you think I should wait to start the ParaGONE until I am retested or just do it anyway?

I've been doing the Liver Detox since the medication is pretty toxic and thought it might be a good idea.

Do you know how long it typically takes to heal from a leaky gut or Advanced Malabsorption from the parasites and gluten damage?

Also, before I got off of gluten and discovered all my little issues my body was in a very inflamedstate and I had gained about 15 pounds withing 3-4 months. I was exercising A LOT, always ate well but couldn't lose the weight and that is what led me to seek professional help. Now 4 months in I'm still experiencing stomach stuff and I'm still not dropping the weight. Any thoughts as to what might be going on? I 've  been told to cut way back on my exercise because my adrenals are so fatigued, but I am exercising moderately, just not insanely and I'm eating really well.  Just wondering how all this might be connected and if the Advanced Malabsorption is affecting my weight loss?

Thanks so much,

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette,

Sorry for the delay in answering.  Have been on the road and unavailable.  What kind of stool test did you have – a CSA??   With those type of parasites it can really mess up your intestinal system and yes contribute to irritation and leaky gut.  It sounds like you are taking some good supplements – but make sure you are doing at least 100 billion probiotic a day, a glutamine powder like IntestiNEW twice a day (5000 mg glutamine each serving).  I would suggest you get rechecked for the parasites after the last round of medication to see if it eradicated the little buggers.  Stay on the restricted diet.  My guess is that the parasites are still active. Get on ParaGONE – I would do this in addition to the pharmaceuticals.

You can get just a parasite test and not the whole shabang.  Go to labtestingdirect.com  -  use code "watson" for an additional discount.

It has been a bit since you first emailed – is it any better now?

I've been diagnosed with a leaky gut, parasites, gluten intolerance, naturally low occuring probiotics, sever stage 2 adrenal fatigue (via stool and saliva testing) and as you can guess, advanced malabsorption. My digestive system is quite a mess :) and the irony is I've always eaten exceptionally well; whole foods, organic, minimally processed (even before the being put on an elimination diet) and I exercise daily and teach yoga. By all accounts I should be healthy.

I have cryptosporidium and another unidentifiable parasite. I have completed 2 rounds of anti-parisite medication (Alinia) and have one more to go, I am now on probiotics, l-glutamine, omega 3's, and have been following a modified elimination diet for 10 weeks – no gluten, dairy, corn, soy, eggs, sugar, caffeine, citrus, vinegar, etc. and still, after meals I am bloated and uncomfortable.

Any thoughts as to what is going on with my digestion? It would seem that by 10 weeks into this phase of treatment I should be feeling pretty good, but no such luck.

Jeanette
