Gamma oryzanol offers heart protective effects and is also reported to affect the thyroid, so I hear your concern. However you can certainly find glutamine in powdered form.
You mentioned you're taking probiotics already. Excellent. Sometimes, instead of taking IntestiNEW, I suggest a probiotic formula high in Bifidobacteria. Bifidobacteria create short chain fatty acids which help repair intestinal cells.
In addition to Bifidobacteria, it would also be good to take additional fiber which would help to nourish the good bacteria in the colon, promote regular elimination and bind toxins. If you’ve had some chronic constipation in the past (many people with leaky gut have), thyroid function is often a factor.
Fish oils are also very helpful to cool inflammation in the gut and provide thyroid support.
Diet is key when healing leaky gut. Check out my new elimination/toxic diet - http://www.brendawatson.com/diet/

I have a multinodular goiter which I get checked every 6 months and my numbers are good. My Dr and Specialist say it is not hypo or hyper it is probably inherited from my grandmother and I don't need medication. I am wondering about the L-Glutamine powder with gamma oryzanol, from what I read the gamma oryzanol stimulates your thyroid which I don't want to do. What can I take. I'm already taking digestive enzymes and probiotics.
