OfflineHi Brenda,
I am seeing a naturopath but they don't seem to know as much about gut health as you! Yes, I will try to find someone else if necessary.
I had blastocystis in 2007 but still have symptoms. I waited till the gastritis-like symptoms got better before trying the ACV.
Thank you for your help. : )

Hi there Lisa,
I noticed that you've been posting in this Forum since last July – same issues.
I did not suggest ACV for gastritis. I suggested it only after symptoms subsided, and then, with meals.
Have you had a Comprehensive Stool Analysis or some type of stool test? You never answered this. You keep saying blastocystis and Candida. Has a doctor diagnosed those conditions?
I know you’ve been exploring the avenues I suggested, like the probiotics, enzymes. However at this point, I must suggest you see an Integrative Practitioner. I won’t guess with your health, and neither should you. Clearly, you need help close to home. When conditions persist, an email forum is no longer adequate.
Here are 2 websites that might help you locate someone near you. http://www.acam.org and http://www.functionalmedicine.org. Another option is to contact Phyllis at EnteroLab – 972-686-6869. She keeps a national database of practitioners who have greater insight into gut issues and is happy to look up someone in your area.
Anxiety often relates to gut issues.
We don’t offer an enzyme formula without protease. Sorry.
Let me know how you progress with your Doctor.

OfflineHello Brenda,
I have blastocystis and a bit (or a lot!) of candida. I am taking garlic or cat's claw (rotating) to treat the bad bugs. When I take probiotics my stool gets mushy (sorry!) and I get more heartburn. I have read in several places that blastocystis eats probiotics and it certainly seems like that. I can't kill things off too fast as I have chronic fatigue syndrome and hypoglycemia.
Usually when I get a bout of reflux apple cider vinegar helps but this time it isn't, seems to make the reflux worse and now I also have heartburn. For this reason I am also scared to take betaine. My stomach was a bit sore before but seems better now thank goodness, are digestive enzymes okay to take at this time? Do you know why the ACV is not helping? I am also experiencing some anxiety and think that it may be related to my gut flora. Is it possible to have too much acid at this time? (Although I think I might have low acid).
Thank you!!
