Hi Beverly,

You need to do some homework on this condition.  First it can be related to diabetes, hopefully your docs have checked out all the reasons why you may have this.  Bad news is they may be correct in that it may not be fixable – especially if the vagus nerve has been damaged.  It is managable though in most instances by eating very small meals more frequently- stay away from high fat foods and unfortunately high fiber foods, raw vegetables – things that can normally be harder to digest.  You may want to puree your food for a while – get a VitaMix – so that you can get some nutrients back into you and then move onto very small frequent meals.  Try soft foods first.  Take a good enzyme formula with all the foods you eat. Like the DigestMore Ultra from Renew Life.

Get a liquid multivitamin formula, get some protein shakes – things like this to get more nutrients.

I know this may not be what you want to hear but your docs need to make sure they have looked at all the reasons why this may have happened so as not to miss an underlying condition.

I was told a few days ago that I have this.I am not suposed to eat food because I can't digest it.I have lost 28 pounds waiting to find out what to do and what I have. Now I am told that they can't fix it.I feel sick to my stomach all the time and don't have any energy. My food stays in my stomach and I don't digest any of it which means I haven't been getting any nutrients.I was told you are very good and you can help me.I don't know what to do to get back to my old self.I have a seven year old son who is always asking me if I'm okay because I am always throwing up.Please help me!
