I appreciate your interest in the HOPE Program. It's truly the foundation of gut health - for your life.
You can begin probiotics, omegas and fiber immediately – no worries about the ppi's. They will all assist in your healing. You may want to go with the powdered probiotic at first, so it can contact your stomach and duodenal linings on the way down with a product like Ultimate Flora Super Critical Care 200 billion. And then maintain with the UF Critical Care 50 billion.
Did the enzyme formula you took before contain HCl (hydrochloric acid)? That may have irritated your undiagnosed gastritis at the time. DigestMore does not contain HCl, so that may not be irritating in the same way (for future reference).
The ppi's were prescribed while your ulcers heal. You can wean off them in a few months, with your doctor's okay. At that time, you can request our suggestions for a wean program, if you'd like.

Hi Brenda
I have your HOPE formula DVD which I have watched a number of times.
I hope you can help me with some questions. I have been diagnosed with Moderate hemorrhagic gastritis with a couple of small ulcers which was unfortunately caused after vomiting during a liver and gall bladder cleanse a few months ago. I am currently on ppis which I have agreed to try for a couple of months although I have read bad things about them.
My question is if the ppis do not work should I try the HOPE formula and do I need to be off the drugs in order to start the formula. Also with regards to the digestive enzymes I have tried these and they hurt my stomach, this was before I was taking the ppis.
During my endoscopy examination they also found some damage to the duodenum for which I am being tested for Celiac disease also although not yet have received the results.
Any advise would be appreciated
