Gastritis & ACV?
Topic RSS
Hi Lisa,
It's probably not a good idea to take apple cider vinegar (or hydrochloric acid either, for that matter) if you know you have gastritis.
Always better to heal and repair. In the future you may add ACV or HCL- with meals only.
I would not think that eating mold or a bout of food poisoning would increase acid in the stomach nor be a direct cause of gastritis. Low stomach acid has been related to a bacterial imbalance. That occurs over time and that can be related to gastritis.
If you could take 1/2 scoop (or whatever is tolerable) of Intestinew, it will help to heal and restore your digestive system. I would also suggest the Renew Life Ultimate Flora Super Critical 200 Billion sachet. It can be mixed with Intestinew.
I'm not aware that sorbitol or mannitol directly feed bad bacteria.
I hope this helps.

OfflineHello Brenda,
Is it okay to take ACV if one has mild stomach pain (gastritis)? It started from eating soft goat cheese and raspberries that might have had a bit of mold on them. The doctor, predictably, told me to take PPIs but I think that will not help. ACV helps with LPR but I worry that it might aggravate an inflamed stomach or possible ulcer. I think I have fairly low stomach acid but mold or food poisoning seems to make more acid(?) Do you think that mold is a common cause of gastritis?
I will take some Intestinew but I am sensitive so can't take a lot (adrenal fatigue makes me sensitive to anything that might be stimulating – glutamine?)
Thanks so much!
Lisa
