Absolutely you can restore your good bacteria, Rich!

I would consider Renew Life Ultimate Flora Critical Care 50 billion, as it offers high potency and also an excellent blend of bacterial strains for both the small and large intestine. As for how long, everyone's digestive tract is different and unique, and people respond in so many ways. You may notice positive results in a week or two.

If not, consider adding supplemental fiber to your regimen, something like Triple Fiber or FiberSmart. The soluble part of the fiber absorbs toxins and actually acts as fertilizer for the probiotic, helping to repopulate. The insoluble helps to exercise and sweep the tract clean of debris.

You can also test to see what's going on in your gut with a Comprehensive Stool Analysis (CSA) – explained toward the top of this Forum. Great baseline.

btw, gas is often a result of incomplete digestion – and can many times be easily (and inexpensively) reduced by a digestive enzyme like Renew Life Digestmore Ultra. Just a thought.

Hi Brenda

2 years ago I did a colon cleanse and did not use a probiotic since then I have serious gas after any meal.  Someone told me that I should have taken a probiotic with the cleanse. Can I restore the good bacteria in my digestive system after such a long period of time and if so how long will it take, and can you recommend which one of your products will perform best at this replenishment of good flora and bacteria.

Best Regards
