Fibroids, heavy menstruations
Topic RSS
Dear Marie,
Balancing your digestive system will help your body to function much better overall, however you may not notice any direct change in your menstrual issues.
Have you seen an Integrative practitioner for a 3rd opinion? Here are 2 websites that might help you locate someone near you. http://www.acam.org and http://www.functionalmedicine.org. You need to find someone who specializes in female issues like yours.
As estrogen seems to increase fibroids in size, it’s very important that you avoid estrogenic stimulants in your diet like mainstream meats, soy products, processed and fast foods.
I hope this was helpful.

OfflineHello,
I am 43 years old and have had a large fibroid causing heavy bleeding and irregular periods for about 5 years now.
I have seen two gynecologists that have recommended a hysterectomy but I am trying to avoid this operation.
Would balancing my digestive system help in reducing bleeding and regulating my periods?
Thanking you in advance for your help.
Marie
