Dear Karen,

I would suggest you move to the 30 billion instead of the 50 billion as a maintenance and address the other aspects that can contribute to slow movements such as lack of dietary fiber, dehydration, lack of good omega oils, magnesium deficiency (good your taking this), medications, food sensitivities etc…..

Obviously the probiotic did a good job at stopping the diarrhea but there may be other issues going on causing low volume.  Fiber is important for this and we just do not get enough in our diet.

Brenda,

Thanks very much for responding to my question about symptoms to expect on probiotics.  My symptoms calmed down and seemingly I was doing pretty well.  However, after about 3 weeks on the probiotic I became constipated.  Still having bowel movements, but they are moving slowly and there is less quantity.  I was very glad to see the diarrhea leave, but hoped to stay "normal" regular.  This has happened to me before on probiotics.  I figured maybe my colon was well repopulated so I stopped the probiotic and have not taken in four days.  I've used a couple tablespoons of George's Aloe Vera Juice in the evening and have added in some magnesium; however, at this juncture, things are still somewhat slowed down.  Could you address this?  I have a history of IBS and multiple food intolerances, but had been doing well until a summer trip this past June when I got heatstroke and diarrhea which lasted some time.   Thanks so much,

Sincerely,

Karen H
