Awesome thank you Brenda. My GP actually ran the test through labcorp…so I called them and they helped some. I was just hoping to tell if the gene I carry comes from my fathers side or my mothers. My father has passed and I think it was celiac related so I am trying to put the pieces together and get some answers with out being able to test him. My mom is 89 and my brothers will never go for me having her tested.

Dear healthy4,
To begin, I'm really not an expert in genetics – so I am not going to tell you what this means – "exactly". If you had the test done at EnteroLab, Phyllis, their Clinical Manager, can explain it very clearly and concisely.
I recognize enough to know that you carry at least one celiac gene. In my mind, that would be all I would need to avoid gluten/wheat all together. From what I've both learned and observed, genes can either manifest in symptoms – OR NOT – and the environment seems to be the factor that controls expression. It just makes sense to stack all factors for health in your favor.
If you need even more reason to consider "gluten-free", please pick up a copy of the book, "Wheat Belly" by William Davis MD. It's a NY Times National Bestseller, is thoroughly researched, and will open your eyes! He writes that celiac disease manifests in many ways that aren't even digestion related.
This Candida diet is actually a gluten free diet, http://blog.brendawatson.com/f…..diet-faqs/. The Elimination/Detox diet is as well. http://www.brendawatson.com/diet/
I hope this info is helpful for you.

Thank you so much brenda I will contact her.
Also I just received back my celiac gene testing, would you be able to help me understand the results.
DQ2 positive
DQ1 negative
DQA1*01,03,05,01
DQB1*02,01,06,02
Celaic disease risk from the HLA DQA/DQB genotype
what does all this mean exactilly.
Thank you in advance for any clarification you can offer.

Dear Lisa,
I'm glad you enjoyed Suzanne's show -it was great to be there! Thanks for the feedback!
Why don't you email my assistant at jsinclaire@renewlife.com to send you the chapters on Constipation and Gluten Sensitivity/Celiac from my new book, The Road to Perfect Health? Those include information and protocols I'm sure you'll find very useful.
I hope this helps.
