Joanne, I'd suggest the new 2011 edition of Gut Solutions. It clearly suggests how to solve your digestive problems naturally. The new edition isn't on Amazon yet. You can find it here though http://www.renewlife.com/gut-s…..atson.html

The chapter we'll be sending to you is from The Road to Perfect Health. That book can only be purchased through your local PBS station as part of a package I made for a TV special of the same name. It highlights the relationship of all the body systems to the gut.

Thanks for your interest. Let me know how you like the info!

Thankyou so much Brenda!  I can't thank you enough. Smile  I'll do all that you suggest, and I'll check out those links.

And Speaking of… I've also been thinking of purchasing one of your books.  Which one would you suggest I start with in my case?

Dear JoanneG,

I maintain my gut with the H.O.P.E. program. High Fiber, Omega Oils, Probiotics and Enzymes.

A supportive environment maximizes the value of your probiotics. Are you monitoring your fiber intake? 35 grams per day is optimum. http://blog.brendawatson.com/g…..4a-primer/ The soluble part of fiber is known as a prebiotic, and your probiotics use it as “food” in the large intestine. Working together, the fiber and probiotics repair your gut lining which is part of a strong immune system, and work to lower your colon pH to a healthy level. The insoluble part of fiber sweeps the intestine and helps it to “exercise”.

Enzymes and omega oils have their parts to do too. More info about all aspects of the program can be found here – http://www.renewlife.com/learn…..fiber-faqs

Great idea to boost with Ultimate Flora 200 billion and then alternating is fine. Switching between the 50 billion and Senior formula works. See how you feel. After following the program for a few months, you might check your gut with a CSA or microbiology culture to see bacteria and yeast count (good and bad).

If you email my assistant at jsinclaire@renewlife.com she will send you the chapter exploring Cancer and improving immune function from my new book.

Hi!

I just had 2 colon polyps removed via colonoscopy surgery. They did
not give me antibiotics thank goodness.  I have been using another brand
of probiotics about a week before and after the surgery to help
prevents infection, and help healing. I would like to continue taking
probiotics, and want to switch to the Renew Life Brand. The probiotics
probably can't stop any future polyps from showing up, but I'd like to
increase my immune system etc to help guard against any future polyps
turning cancerous.  I've also just turned 60 years old. I've been eating
everything healthy I can get my hands on, plus more exercise, and I
would like to set up a regime of probiotics.

I'm torn at what probiotics to use.  I'm thinking maybe…

Just 1 bottle of The Ultimate Flora Super Critical 200 Billion to
give myself a huge boost. Then switch to and alternate the Ultimate
Flora Critical Care 50 or 80 Billion with the Ultimate Flora Senior.

I'm looking for support for the Large and Small intestine plus
generating a higher immune system, and health for my whole body in
general.

Does this sound like a good choice or would you suggest another regime?

If this is a good choice, would you suggest the Critical Care 50 or 80 Billion or something else?
