Dear Deborah,

It seems that you got some great advice from an eager new member of our Community.

Good job on choosing to eliminate those irritants from your diet.

What Becky had to say is all very valuable information. I recently interviewed the author of Wheat Belly, and found his book filled with compelling information and easy to understand.

If you'd care to email my assistant at jsinclaire@renewlife.com, she will send you the Cancer chapter from my new book, The Road to Perfect Health. Suggested protocols are offered there.

Becky was describing to you the basis of an anti-Candida diet (which also eliminates gluten and most dairy). Here are some specifics that may be helpful: http://blog.brendawatson.com/f…..diet-faqs/

A very informative test for determining what is actually happening in your gut is the Comprehensive Stool Analysis (CSA) described toward the top of this Forum. It will give you sense of your immune function from a different perspective. Just a thought.

Keep in touch and please let me know how it goes.

Brenda Watson

The first reply to your post on 12/7/12 was not from Ms. Watson.  I was from me, Becky, a first-time user.  I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.  As mentioned, I am new to the website and should have realized the questions are for Ms. Watson and the answers should be coming from her, not the participants such as myself.

Hippocrates said, "Let food by thy medicine, and medicine by thy food."  Unfortunately, processed foods, genetically modified foods, and pesticide laden foods (not to mention meat riddled with hormones and antibiotics) are creating untold health problems for Americans.  So, choosing one's "medicine" or food wisely is critical.  Make sure you research the "dirty-dozen" plant foods and purchase only organic, non-gmo plants from that group (to include celery, spinach, lettuce, spinach, etc.).  This is an essential first step.  Then, research gluten-sensitivity.  An excellent book is Wheat Belly by cardiologist Dr. William Davis.  Our wheat has become so alduterated, it is causing a myriad of health problems.  So, eliminating gluten from your diet is essential to your recovery.

Another compelling and helpful book would be The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, PhD, and Thomas Campbell, MD.  This book was recommended by my integrative physician.  I have adopted many of the nutritional guidelines regarding a plant-based diet (and reduction of animal protein…my doctor does not advocate eliminating all animal protein, but it must be in the minority and, by all means, organic).  I have also eliminated all milk protein.

And, of course, in order for any nutritional program to be successful, your intestinal health is of utmost importance per many healthcare professionals to include Ms. Brenda Watson.  As you probably know from her lectures (and backed up by research), 80% of the body's immune defense is produced in the intestines.  Probiotics (and I personally take Brenda Watson's Renew Critical Care and Vaginal Care probiotics for healing my systemic yeast infection and to boost my immune system).  So, I highly recommend that you start on her probiotic protocol and digestive health protocol ASAP.  Also important to your digestive health is drinking plenty of pure water (free of flouride and chlorine…very upsetting to one's digestive health).  I personally rent a Culligan water purifier to rid my water of flouride and chlorine.  I increases the pH of the water, but with all the organic plants I am eating these days and having eliminated gluten and sugar from my diet, the pH of my urine is now at a healthy level (essential for keeping the body healthy, especially in your case…fighting cancer as the body needs to be alkaline in order to fight cancer.)

I hope this helps.  I am sending positive thoughts your way!Smile

Hi Brenda,

I was recently diagnosed with CLL – very early stages.  Other than that, I'm in my early 50's, healthy and have a great attitude.  I have eliminated coffee, soy, dramatically reduced diary, eliminated most sugar and am replacing it with maple syrup, honey, agave nectar and trying to stay "whole foods" as much as possible.  No chemo or radiation or any other medical treatments are advised at this time.  I'm adding green tea occasionally and am taking supplements.   Further blood testing indicates a "missing chromosome".  Some nathureopaths and doctors are saying that micronutrients (vegetables, fruits, grains etc) can actually change the dna in your body.

what would you recommend to boost health and keep a very strong immune system?
