If your doc is suggesting the antibiotics again I can not say not to take them. I can say that taking high dosages of the probitics and the sacchromyces together either by itself or in addition to the antibiotics have been successful in eradicating the c diff in others. If you are just trying to decide and have not been prescribed another round of antibiotics I would suggest you give the protocol I suggest a try.

Is there away to get rid of c. diff without antibiotics and just take probiotics to cure this or does the c. diff continue to hide in the spores?
Should I go back on the antibiotics and take the suggested probiotics during the treatment or do the probiotics in heavier doses until my symptoms are gone? Then just take the daily recommended dosage.
I appreciate you help.

The FiberSmart mentioned there also acts as a fertilizer for the probiotic, increasing its effectiveness. It’s possible that your probiotics haven’t been able to really take hold and “stand their ground”, so to speak.
Have you done a Comprehensive Stool Analysis at any point when you seem to be improving to see how much you were able to repopulate with your treatment protocol? Info on that test is toward the top of this Forum.
Let me know how it goes. It can be a l-o-n-g process, as you've seen.

Hi Brenda,
I have been one that continues to have a recurrence with C. diff. The antibiotics only work when I take them and whenever I am off them I continue to load up on probiotics. They are not helping. I just started to take Ultra flora critical care as my symptoms are coming back. I do Take S. boulardii and hope that taking both of theses products will over take the bad bacteria.
Can you tell me what doses of each probiotic you recommend and if you think I can cure my c. diff by taking probiotics. Antibiotics are very expensive for this and don't seem to work with me. I am 46 and never had issues until I was put on an antibiotic 3 years ago and never been the same since. I have tried several combinations of probiotics and believe this is the way to go, just haven't found a combination that works to stop it from coming back.
