Thank you Brenda. 

Things have much improved.  I met with my doc yesterday to review everything.  He informed me Alinia can take a few weeks for complete resolution of the Blasto.  I will retest if necessary.  Here in SF, Raindbow Market is a great local source for your products and I will look into what you recommend from your lineup.

P.s. Aside from the culture situation this really was the best doc appt I remember having.  A year ago I was one cycle away from needing to begin a statin regimine due to my cholesterol / HIV med interactions.  I'm sure, because of my refocussing on your HOPE formula, going to nonfat dairy, and eliminating butter as a spread… my fasting lab results are now in optimal range with HDL at 59! 

I am loathe to take ANY additional prescriptions unless they are absolutely necessary.

You are welcome!!! I was destined to do this. Blastocystis is a parasite and you need to be treated for it. There are a couple of things that come to mind. 1 Do you have enough HCl in your stomach??? The reason is having these in the first place. I know you have a compromised immune system. But I highly suspect you do not produce enough acid in the stomach. 2) Check to see if they did a test for Candida as this could also be an issue.

Now with the HOPE the other thing you need for the loose stool is Intestinew. James so many people swear by this. Please get the powder as you need it in high doses. One scoop is 5,000mg of l glutamine plus gamma oryzanol and NAC. All of this formula is for the inflammation in the gut that leads to diarrhea and even colitis. Always take on empty stomach!!! 1 to 2x per day.

Also with your situation the 80 billion Critical Colon probiotic. Take at least 1 to 2 per day until the loose stool is resolved.

Sorry I cannot remember but will be happy to help further. But you need to get rid of parasites ask your doc!

Thanks for encouraging people to share and build knowledge and health. All I want is to be as well as possible. I hope this isn't TMI!

I did have the poop test done early last week.  Positive for a few things.  I'm taking a 3 day course of Alinia to resolve.  I had: FEW BLASTOCYSTIS HOMINIS ENTAMOEBA COLI (NON-PATHOGEN) TROPHOZOITES OBSERVED FEW EOSINOPHILS. NO WBCs SEEN.

Months ago, as I mentioned on FB, you refferred to a substance that our systems produce that mine could be lacking in.  I believe the word began with an F.  You said my doc could test for it.  I don't remember if it was an enzyme or bile something?  My followup for all of my labwork is on the first and I'd like to be as thorough during this upcoming visit as possible.

Anyway, a loose stool is something I've struggled with for years which HIV meds have aggravated.  Good days and bad.  I do my best with HOPE etc to mitigate.  As I also disclosed I have HSIL/NSIL with one infra red coag treatment so far. 

I appreciate your work and look forward to your insights and tips!
