Do you think you might have parasites?

Not everyone’s favorite topic! Did you know that parasitic infection can undermine your health and cause symptoms that mimic other disorders? or they can cause no noticeable symptoms and just weaken your overall health. The strength of your body’s immune system determines whether parasites are just visiting, or moving in for the long haul. Toxic exposure, nutritional deficiency, decreased output of pancreatic enzymes, deficiency of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, immuno-suppressive drugs, a toxic colon, travel overseas, sushi, swimming in lakes and rivers, your favorite pet – all these factors and many more may set the stage for possible parasitic infections.

There are over 3,000 varieties, and they can be difficult to detect without specialized testing. A Comprehensive Stool Analysis (CSA) with Parisitology x3 can be helpful. More information about that test can be found at the top of this forum under General Questions.

Chronic parasitic infections can lead to more serious health conditions. You may not know exactly the type of parasite you have or whether they are underlying other health issues (depending on your particular situation), so it’s a great idea to simply include a parasite cleanse into your natural detoxification program.

Factors that promote parasites also set the stage for overgrowth of the yeast Candida albicans. Frequently, Candida and parasites are found together. In order to effectively handle parasitic infections, treatment of Candida along with strict adherence to an anti-Candida diet is strongly advised. The diet is indicated if you have even a slight suspicion of infection and should be closely followed as long as you are on your cleanse.

An herbal program can have fewer side effects than prescription medications. In some cases, however, prescription medication may still be needed. It’s a good idea to have a health care practitioner’s supervision when following the protocol.

The body’s 7 channels of elimination MUST be flowing properly prior to beginning your parasite (or Candida) cleanse. Obviously, you want to avoid dead parasites putrefying in a blocked colon! You also need a colon that’s able to swiftly eliminate toxins from the liver and a liver that’s healthy enough to clear them! Therefore, if you are not having at least daily (preferably two times/day) bowel movements, you may choose to begin with a Total Body Cleanse.

For parasite elimination, I suggest a program that combines natural antimicrobial herbs delivered in both capsular and tincture form like Renew Life’s Paragone. Follow the instructions included with your program closely for best results.

Other supplements that powerfully support the body’s elimination of parasitic overgrowth are:

Beneficial probiotic supplements like Ultimate Flora Critical Care. Probiotics are a critical part of the protocol for establishing and maintaining intestinal balance. The probiotic should be taken at least 2 hours apart from the anti-parasite (or anti-Candida) supplements.

A digestive enzyme with hydrochloric acid, such as Renew Life’s ParaZYME. Enzymes can be helpful in degrading harmful microorganisms and are taken on an empty stomach so they reach the intestines where they can do their work.

A daily fiber supplement that contains flax seed, oat bran and acacia fiber for a good mix of soluble and insoluble fibers, such as ReNew Life’s Triple Fiber. Fiber supports bowel regularity and helps to absorb any microbial toxins that are produced during the “die-off” of parasites and yeast.

Omega oils to lubricate the intestines and provide anti-inflammatory support. Purified fish oil, or a mix of omega oils (with Omega-3, 5, 6, 7, 9) is best. Look for an omega oil that contains the enzyme lipase for better absorption. Renew Life’s Critical Omega Oil is a good choice.

As mentioned before, Candida is often present along with parasites. For this reason, you may choose to alternate between a Parasite Cleanse and a Candida program like Renew Life’s CandiGone.

It’s important to understand that parasite infections may be persistent due to their complex life cycles. In more severe cases, this program may be repeated up to three times consecutively. If the anti-parasitic program or anti-Candida program does not seem to be working, prescription medication may be needed.

In the long run, your key to vibrant wellness is maintaining a healthy gut, thereby making your body an unfriendly environment for any type of harmful organism.

Always remember that it takes time for the body to heal from the inside out.
